چکیده
Dense satellite constellations recently emerged as a prominent solution to complementing terrestrial networks in attaining true global coverage. As such, analytic optimization techniques can be adopted rapidly maximize the benefits of such networks. This letter presents framework that relies on two primary tuning parameters optimize uplink performance; (i) constellation altitude and (ii) antenna beamwidth. The leverages tools from stochastic geometry derive analytical models formulate parametric coverage problem which also includes user traffic demand an input. allows operators devise expansion strategies cater for expanding demand. demonstrates fine-tuning these significantly enhance network capacity. We show random provides close match practical Walker-delta Walker-star.

Future sea-level rise will have significant impacts on populations living in costal regions, and the development of coastal infrastructure. Adaptation to these changes to minimize the negative consequences requires improved sea-level rise predictions. While there are several contributors to changes in sea level, future changes in the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets are perhaps the least unde...

Next Generation Mobile Systems will implement one’s dream of anywhere, anytime communications. Providing global coverage and mobility, satellite systems will play an important role in order for this to be achieved. The design options of satellite systems include several choices. The basic ones are the choice of orbit, processing and switching, intersatellite links, and link layers technologies....
متن کاملPower Control and Scheduling For Low SNR Region in the Uplink of Two Cell Networks
In this paper we investigate the sub-channel assignment and power control to maximize the total sum rate in the uplink of two-cell network. It is assumed that there are some sub-channels in each cell which should be allocated among some users. Also, each user is subjected to a power constraint. The underlying problem is a non-convex mixed integer non-linear optimization problem which does not h...

The space environment consists mainly of high-energy charged particles, such as protons, electrons and heavy ions. They are originating from several sources including galactic cosmic radiation, solar flares and van Allen belts. High energy electromagnetic radiation and neutrons have also been measured on spacecraft. Although shielding can reduce the effect of space radiation it cannot be elimin...
